Buffing with microfiber

I use my DA PC to apply the polish or wax......then to remove the wax i take a micro fiber rag place it right underneath the buffing pad and remove the excess residue.......have any of you guys tried this?, i found just wiping the car down with the mf rags left light light light swirling, mf on the da leaves a flawless finish.........
 
its like that except with a rag not a bonnet..........you buff pushing the mf rag against the car.......the rags are cheaper than the bonnets thats why i do it

I've pictured it and done it. For polishes it doesn't work so well because the polish will often grab the towel and it comes off the pad. Actually, I didn't even like the bonnets. I raced a friend with a bonnet on a PC on one side of the car and me with my trusty microfibers on the other. We pretty much tied, but if you ask me I'd say I won simply because there were spots he couldn't buff off with the bonnet and had to go back with normal towels to fix.
