buffer holograms??

Well two weeks ago I buffed my car. I just purchased it and the owner neglected it. I did the normal process of wash clay wash and then did:

OC with a yellow pad on horrible scratched areas

OP on the entire car with orange pad

XMT AIO on the entire car with a white pad

Poorboys form of wax as sealant.



Now I washed it today and then it was pulled in the sun and I see holograms as you would call them across the entire car. If I use the white pad with OP will that get rid of them?



I am using a PC btw.

well maybe that is not what they are lol. I never noticed them before until today when it was in the sun light. I don't know what you would call it then... If you loook at it from one angle and move lets say from front to rear as you go towards the rear you do not see it but they are all the way to the rear. I would never be able to get it on a camera, it's tricky for the eye to get.



Good thing though was I got all the swirls out :D
 
you can get holograms from a PC. They are usually always very slight holograms, but I've gotten them before using a yellow CCS pad and OC (I wasn't allowing the polish to break all the way down - and I was working on a black car).





Either way, a white pad and OP would do the trick (assuming they are holograms and not something else).



Try and get a pic just to be sure.
 
You can get holograms from a PC, but rarely. If you're working with a rotary I would suggest working with a halogen lamp at all time to make sure you're ridding your scratches/swirls and not creating holograms at the same time.



Now as for OP, you should bump down to a white pad. That's probably most likely your problem at this point.
 
With some waxes, I find that they can leave very light holograms... these are glaze heavy waxes like the Swissvax and Zymol ones as the wax outgasses and this leaves a very light hologram like mark which a wipe down with QD a couple of hours later removes. Just les the wax settle, then you can wipe them down with QD. Not sure if Nattys would do this but just a thought.
 
I suspect it's from the OP and orange pad. Using OP and a white pad working the product long enough to make sure it's totally broken down should produce good results.

That is why I was using the xmt with white pad.... But I guess the aio is not a good finishing product?
