Not really, both pads are pretty equal. However, some will prefer one over the other. Personally, I have forgone microfiber cutting pads as I have always found them to be a bit grabby. The HDO Wool cutting pads from LC are beautiful, they run so cooler and soooo much more smoothly than the microfiber alternatives, they also finish better, too.
 
Id go as far as saying all MF pads are "basically the same, just a different color" so.

Better or longer lasting than the LC? I highly doubt there is any definitive way to say that.

Im sure they are both great pads as the are both very well known for quality products. LC in my opinion would have an edge if I were considering pads cause that is probably 90% of their business.
