Ha, yep, BRILLO PAD. :nervous2:



Had a call from a company who I've dealt with before. They spray sealant onto roofs, orrible brown stuff. Usually get overspray onto nearby cars. They clean it off with T&G or similar solvent.

Now and again it goes wrong.

It went wrong :grinno: While the main man was away to get a supply of said chemical, the trainee decided to have a go at the cleaning job..........with a brillo pad :idea:grinno:

Removed with Wet 2000g paper, then the Metabo with Farecla compound pad / Menz PG .



Micro marring from PG corrected with 3M finishing pad / Menz Final Finish PO106 FA.



Quick wax over with AS Platinum.

I've now got work doing the cleaning away of the overspray, very sensible I think, considering :)
 
LOL we had a lady with an 07' envoy show up here shortly after we opened last summer with the same thing. Apparently she thought it would be a great way to get bugs off the front. Good job on the turn around there.
 
About 1 out of every 5 cars that I work on have similiar damage from a sponge with an aggressive backing. It amazes me now, but I remember removing pinstripes from my old car with a scrubbing sponge and cleaner wax. Many years later, I am very glad to have discovered autopia.
 
Wow, dude is not smart at all for doing that. I can't believe people seriously do stuff like that. Even as a child I didn't do that.
 
What is the problem, I don't see one drop of that brown spray sealer!
