Brand new (dealer will not prep) first detail?

As I mentioned in another thread I chickened out on the Black 997 S and will be going with GT silver. Boat arrives in Baltimore on the 27th and brought up to NY. I told the dealer to remove the paper but not to touch.



I will obviously wash, clay, and wax, but a little confused about polish and or glaze. One or both? If polish, is VM OK? if Glaze what would you recommend. Wax is S100.
 
If your dealer follows your instructions and you get a swirl free car there will be no reason to polish.

After the wash and clay I'd go with Megs #5 new car glaze topped with S100.
 
Just use VM and S100 and you'll be happy. You won't really need to polish for a while. Just note that the S100 is only gonna last about 6-8 weeks.
 
I'm on my second silver car since I started lurking here, and out of everything I've tried, I don't think any combo looks better on silver than UPP topped with a good LSP like P21S. Vanilla Moose and Klasse both make nice preps before the UPP.
