Brake Fuild or Grease Stain on Int. Door Panel...thoughts?

Hi folks...

While trailering my '72 Plymouth this past Saturday, the brakes on my Bronco failed. The long line underneath broke.

To make a long story short...I was 50 miles from home. so a local garage made the repair and also left a black stain on the armrest of the door panel. (Of course, I put new door panels in about 3 months ago)

I tried Stoner's Interior Trim Cleaner, Xenit, Tuff Stuff, 3M Glass Cleaner, even a Magic Eraser..to little avail.

It's not the worst thing that could have happened (all things considered) but I'd sure like to get it out. Any ideas?

Have you tried Simple Green? Dilute as per the directions first. Then mix it stronger to see if it helps. Test it first, you might get the stain out only to have a green stain left.

You might want to try some of the citrus degreasers. be careful if you try citrus degreaser make sure its safe for Vinyl first. Test it to make sure it wont ruin your door panel.

is the armrest vinyl or cloth...

because if its cloth use BRAKE CLEAN and spray it directly on the stain and brush....

im a mechanic so i know what u mean...sometimes that happens to me too but at least i clean it before the costumer sees it...

if its vinyl then i dunno what to suggest.
