Brake dust on Paint

How do you remove the brake dust on the paint on the sides and backs of the vehicles. White is the worst as it shows up as tiny black dots and as you start to remove them they change to brown, orange then yellow and then gone. I had one the other day where a rear caliper had stuck, rim was brown and the rear quarter and back of the vehicle was yellow? I used Meguiars compond, 101 and some 9 to remove but was quite a bit of work and diffuclut around windows and trim?

Well the compound would pull any protection off of the car so if you are going that route I would spray the affected areas with APC and let them dwell. Mix some APC in with the shampoo for the wash and ironX afterwards. Maybe find some better coating or wax then what you are using because brake dust should easily come off when everything is well protected. But the color change of the dots makes me think maybe road tar and not brake dust? If so try some tarminator or some other tar remover.
