Boy did I pay some dues this weekend (56K warning)

GOT PREP?
Some of you may have seen the other two thread of the details I did yesterdayâ€Â¦..I thought today would be easierâ€Â¦..not so much.

I see this car a few times a year and it is always pretty bad. The customer works out of the car and it really takes a beating. I have no problem working on this car even in this conditon as the lady swears by my work and really sends me great referrals.

For the interior I used Costco APC 10:1 on all carpet, vinyl, and leather. I followed the APC with the LGCM on the carpets and dressed the leather with Meguiars medallion leather cleaner/conditoner.

For the exterior I washed with NXT, dried, removed tar from lower panels with poorboyâ€â„¢s pro polish, clayed, SSR2 with cyclo and green pads, sealed with Mothers synwax.

The Motherâ€â„¢s synwax is really nice!! I really like LSPâ€â„¢s that allow you to work small sections at a time and flash very quickly. I prefer to only make one trip around the car plus no waiting for the wax to set up saves me time. The look is very sharp and clear, the surface left behind is very slick. I will continue testing the product, but this will be a good test bed for durability.

I also forgot to mention that the I used the APC to clean the doorjams, then I pressure washed them, and then sealed them with the Mother's synwax. The wheels got a coat of synwax also.

Wow...your interior come backs are fantastic. It always amazes me how people that drop off their car for a detail don't even have the common courtesy to pick up some of the trash...

The bar of soap on the floor is classic....:lol

You sure did have your work cut out for you! What is with all the nasty interiors lately? Seems like we are all getting that kind of stuff lately.

You really did a nice job on that interior, it looks new again!

Just FYI, if you have never tried a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, they work great on the door panels, console, dash, etc. Saves you a lot of time to, since it is just wipe and dry instead of spray, scrub, wipe and dry.

Scott, I thought about using those, but was afraid they might dull some vinyl panels...no problems?

6']['9, I used the LGCM, no "real" extractor.....yet.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

Wow, some people are messy then there are people like this.

Thanks!!! Yeah, I removed the magnet and soaked it in my wash bucket while I polished. I then removed it and wiped it clean with a MF before returning it to the paint. She did ask me as I was leaving if it would harm the paint......
