So yesterday someone blocked my car in a very tight space, when I tried to pull out I scraped my front bumper on a rough concrete curb that gouged my front bumper. I'd like to try and fix this myself.

here are some pics.

Here is what I think I should do (Please correct me or give advice)

The corner splitter and the foglight cover are both replaceable for a resonable price and come prepainted from the factory, so I only have to fix the section on the actual bumper cover, which is the middle section.

1. Fill in the gouges with some kind of bondo/body filler. ( I need reccomendations for brand and type, I've never used this before)

2. Sand the bondo down to restore it to the original shape of the bumper skin.

3. I'm going to just use touch up paint since it is a fairly small section. so apply several layers of paint.

4. Wet sand the area until smoth and uniform

5. Polish with my PC.

I need to know if there is any pre bondo prep that should be done, and any primer after the bondo? Keep in mind that i'm using a tube of touch up paint to do this.

Do you guys think that this will work? I know my methods won't restore it to original condition, by my bumper has about a hundred rock chips in it anyways, and I'll most like repaint it in a couple years.
