I did this....

It was turned into this by a body shop...

Ill be fixing it later this week. The shop was nice enough to hit the entire car with a dry 8" wool pad, Topps All Silicone Nausea, and a disgruntled clean up person.

Here is the follow up to this...

Mild destruction to OEM single stage paint. Looks like a dry 8" wool pad spinning at 5000rpm on a rotary.

This cleaned up in under 8 hrs. With all of the dramatic creases, I used a 4" pad for most of this. All but 2 panels are OEM and are t h i n. This is the last machine polishing this car will receive.

Customer should present your bill to the body shop and insist they pay it.

Just disgusting what body shops get away with these days and nearly as bad are the people who just accept it, or get it fixed by someone else and don't let the body shop know how unhappy they are with the work they did.

Thanks David!

Scott - 100% with you on that. The shop should pay for the wonderful work they did in burning edges and disintegrating the factory paint on a collector car.

I know the owner is interested in discussing this with the shop. Ill let you know what happens.
