Headed to Ben's yesterday; well his Parents' place as paintwork correction/swirl removal was his birthday prezzy from them :thumb:

Car was washed & clayed so pure correction required. As before & after shots show, lots of swirling and scratches but I managed to correct virtually all defects and the result was flaketastic even if I say so meself.

Process was to polish & finish using rotary and Meguiars/Menzerna products as required. LSP was to spit shine 2 layers of P21S as car isn't used much over the winter so durabilty not a major factor.

fantastic. BMW = NEED ROTARY. that's what I learned. How abrasive did you go? Pad + Polish please :).

Hehe - I've lost count of the horror stories I've heard about BMW paint but I used Meguiars #82 via yellow Meguiars pad and finished with Menzerna PO85RD via firstly polishing pad then finishing pad. Total time elapsed 4.5 hours including moving car in & out of garage and taping up so no biggy IMHO - BMW paint's no worse than any other I've polished but you're right, a PC would have made the job several hours longer for sure.
