The pictures are pretty self explanatory. This was the first detail since I've started using my DSLR so hopefully the pics will be a bit better than before. I still have a lot to learn with it for sure but I'm happy with my first time using it so I can't complain. This was another referral from dirtdiggler aka Fran and I'm very appreciative for him having the confidence in my abilities to get it done.
This X5 is the owner's portable office and serves as his DD so it's shows some wear but all in all the owner keeps it in very good condition, unfortunately since Fran took care of it last year I'm guessing that it's seen its share of tunnel washes as opposed to the touchless as was recommended, you'll see what I mean from the pics. He and his wife also own a puggle and the short, corse hairs were found throughout the interior. I was thrilled however at the carpet on this SUV as it vacuumed up extremely well and in the hardest spots only required a bit of brushing to get the hairs out. Definitely one of the few times I've been able to say that.
On to the pics:
Collection of bugs and grime that has accumulated on the mirror since last wash, nothing that a little soak of APC and clay couldn't take care of.
Doesn't look too bad in the garage except for the wheels and normal grime from everyday use.
Lower plastic cladding and exhaust was pretty filthy but APC and a soft brush took care of that and the exhaust was cleaned up with APC and my EZ detail mini brush followed by Optimum Metal Polish via MF.
Few basic before pics of the jambs and interior
Dog hair
The leather had started to look dry and I opted to go with Leathique Rejuvenator Oil and let it set on there while I took care of the exterior so it got a good 6 hrs and it was almost 80 the day I did it so it was able to soak into the leather
