"We wouldn't drink so much if we had better Friends"
This post might be a bit too much for some of you but it is just a form of expression and entertainment.... We mean to offend no one. :nixweiss
Well Tralfaz and myself decided to do a body shine on our friend Danny's BMW (50,000+ miles)..... and it was a detail for Beer bid...lol! Danny's BMW is a daily driver and he really does a decent job on keeping it clean. I was impressed when I first started to look it over in his garage. There was very few dings and the paint surface was fairly smooth showing the typical light scratches. Danny had washed and dried the Girl before we arrived and had a lot of cold beer in the fridge...
I did not get any before pictures on account we were already half lit when we got there..lol So after another six pack we decided to get started... Humm what to do here? Ahhhh we know... "Warning the methods used here are not for the detailing retentive.... Oh and always ware your safety glasses when drinking and using power tools."
So utilizing two Porter-Cable 7424's outfitted with Lake Country yellow pads we began working her over with 3m PI III machine glaze, (a pretty safe product to use when drinking). Then we used the same pads and worked it over with Klasse AIO...with slow overlapping passes, one application of AIO should be more than adequate to clean, prepare, and protect the surface. We used a bit more product than most but we don't care, we both have money....lol! Then we topped her off with two coats of Klasse SG (no curing time) using the Bill North Klasse SG Wipe on, Wipe off, Official Application Instructions using water and Microfiber towels, well probably close enough we were really drinking heavily and I am not sure we were using a front to back or side to back or whatever motion.... lol!
But after a case of beer and a little staggering effort we produced a beautiful slick, smooth and glossy finish and most of the light scratches were really not visible anymore. Danny was really happy and we all thought it to be a big improvement. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends...just having fun.. Check it out.....
