BMW 550 and Suburban

This is probably my favorite BMW color. The car was just purchased, and was covered in buffer trails. I vacuumed, used 1Z LeatherCare on the seats, and Meguiar's QID on the hard surfaces. For the exterior, the wheels were soaked in P21S, and then washed with Dawn. I then did a 2 bucket wash with 1Z Pearls.

For correction, I used the new Menzerna 203 on the Flex, white LC pad, and waxed with Collinite 476. 1Z Vinyl / Rubber care was used on the tires.

Befores...the swirls you see on the hood, were all over the car...

Gotta love BMW dust...

Here are after shots of the interior. I didn't take befores, because it's a new car...

Next up...Suburban

This was a clean up for sale. The car has been washed with automatic car washes (not the touchless ones) for a loooong time now. I cleaned the engine with ONR, and used various rags and the Swissvax brush. I dressed the engine with 4:1 Hyper Dressing.

On the interior, I cleaned the carpets with Adams carpet/upholstery cleaner, wiped down hard surfaces with QID, and used 1Z Leather Care on the seats.

For correction, I wanted to experiment. I did a QEW wash, used Accumulator's combo of 3.5" PFW pads on the PC with 1Z Intensive Paste. I followed with SIP on the Flex with an orange pad, and finished with Menzerna 203 on a 4" white pad on the PC.

Before...The whole truck looked like this...

I basically got it to this point since it was a "for sale" clean up...

Very nice, not to crap on your thread but the tires on the bmw seem to not be dressed. Maybe it's just the pics.

You are right. Today was the first day of daylight savings time, so I pulled the car out to take pictures before dressing the tires.

Edit - my time / date stamp is off by an hour...the sun was dropping behind his house quickly, so I wanted to try to take advantage of what little sun there was.

weekend warrior- Good job on both :xyxthumbs

Glad (but not surprised ;) ) that PFW/1Z combo worked on the Suburban. Big job though, huh?

The Suburban's engine compartment cleaned up well, the plastics appear in good condition.

Out of curiosity- why did you do the final polishing with the PC/4" white instead of the Flex?

Well, it could have gone either way. I had achieved the correction level that we were going for, so I just used the PC...I like using the PC, since I can basically use it with 1 hand. I think I actually ate 2 slices of pizza while using the Menz 203 on the PC - LOL.

Even though it was a HUGE vehicle...I did ALL of that in 8 hours (no breaks).

awesome job.

but is it just me or do bmw wheels have some sort of cosmic attraction to break dust?. every time i see one around town they all look just caked with the stuff

Holy cow! 3 step plus engine and interior in 8 hours? I'm amazed at how a lot of you guys pump these vehicles out. It came out very nice. Great correction and the engine looks fantastic. I have yet to ONR a motor.

Great job on the BMW too. Nice improvement.

Wow, big improvement on both cars!!

How are you liking the P203S??

Thanks...I really like the 203. I think on cars that have been corrected and maintained well, it will serve as a good 1 step, once a year via the Flex to maintain them. Should be a real time saver.
