BMW 530D (E60) winter wash!

Yesterday was a sunny day here. However, the sun doesn't rise above the trees here in this time of year. Anyway, just enough light to get decent pictures after a wash. I couldn't almost believe how dirty the car was.

The process:

1. AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover Spray + wash out

2. Turtle Wax Big Orange shampoo wash + sheepskin mitt

3. AutoGlym Super Resin Polish

4. AutoGlym Liquid Hardwax

5. Presta Spray'N Shine quick detail

Sorry many of these pics are quite similar each other, but I just couldn't left anyone out. I already had difficulties to choose these for you! I hope you enjoy!

Diesel power rules!! Nice lookin' rig! :)

Did you paint the grille, Anzafin, or is that part of a package?

That is one sharp looking bimmer. It really says something when you can keep a car that clean during the winter.

I can keep it clean when the weather is subzero, and usually it is. The average temperature in my location during winter is something -13°C (9°F).

But now there has been a warm period, and the car was extremely filthy before this wash.

I'm waiting for a new power washer + foam lance + AutoFoam to arrive next week :grinno:. I hope they will help me in a war against dirt!

That's a beautiful car Anzafin, I love the Sapphire Black, those wheels, and the light interior. The lowered stance and the grille look great too. Glad to see those E60s go through the snow with proper tires on.

I have a heated garage now so I can wash every week even in the winter. In Michigan we have cold winters but not as cold as you. How many hours of sunlight do you get per day this time of year?

Thanks pal!

I have a possibility to wash my car too every week if I want to. The washing hall isn't mine, but I can use it almost every time when I want to.

At this time of year the sun rises at 10am and sets around 2pm, so 4 hours. But in northern parts of Finland the sun doesn't rise at all.

In college my wife worked in Tampere for a semester. She went up to the Arctic Circle to witness that!
