Owner contacted me a few weeks ago, wanting his 2011 BMW 328 properly detailed. He'd just had some work done (lowering, new wheels-great looking wheels, btw!) and now has turned his attention to the paint. His main concern was the swirling. Even though it wasn't too bad, it did detract from the look of the car. He also wanted the interior cleaned up and protected.

There was a lot of sun when we arrived to take care of it, there was light spider swirling, a few minor rotary holograms and random marring here and there. Honestly, I was expecting it to be worse than it was.

Even thought it was just after noon, the low sun made it hard to capture swirls, these were the only pictures that actually showed any. But like I said, they really weren't that bad. The paint itself though, it was rock hard. I can't remember a time when minimal swirling was so tough to remove. Ended up having to use a wool pad. But on the plus side, now that the paint is now properly compounded and polished, it should stay that way with proper washing techniques, which the owner was definitely interested in learning about.

The owner told me after we finished he had poked his head outside a few times and could definitely tell by the improvement in depth which side I had compounded. He said he hadn't expected that much of an improvement. He was also surprised that the wheel wells had been cleaned and dressed. However, noting that the free dealer "wash" apparently doesn't include wheel wells or door jambs, I can understand him being unsure of what he'd be getting beyond the paint correction and interior detail.

The line you see in these two after shots are a contrail from a jet. Pretty much lost the sun after this so the full after shots are in full cloud cover. Really happy how this one turned out. :)
