Blue Yamaha R6

Hey everybody, it looks like I'll be posting a little more in the next couple of weeks...I just graduated in May and since then I've been working with an Electrical Contractor (He is my Dad's friend and he's been letting me go out and help his elecrtical guys do some work) before I go off to college in August...(I'll be going to UCF)

I put the detailing buisness on hold because I really needed a way to make a lot of money before I go off to school, and without a steady flow of cars, its kinda hard to make a steady income! Well now that I've made a decent amount of money, it should hold me over for the first year (I needed some spending money for all of the essentials, aka beer, food, and gas ;) :chuckle: )

I did this R6 a couple of weeks ago for a friend of mine. He just drove it back from New Jersey and it was fairly dirty...

Process/Products:

-Foamed with Meg's GC, washed with Schmitt/a lot of brushes to get in all the nooks/crannies

-Clayed the whole bike (had lots of bugs/tar from the ride down)

-Meg's APC to the wheels

-Mother's Metal Polish...

-Meg's HD cut 2:1 for plastic/black trim

-Opti Seal :)

Awesome job on the R6! I wish more people would post threads on motorcycle detailing. I have been trying to convince David to start a Motopia site or at least a motorcycle dedicated section here on Autopia.

Good luck at UCF, great school. What are you going to be studying? I worked there for almost 10 years in both Computer Services and then Undergraduate Admissions doing computer support.

Great work! :goodjob It really looks better than new. Must take a lot of patience to get into all those nooks & crannies.

Very refreshing to see a proper bike here instead of another cruiser! Love the color.

I'm really not sure what I'm going to study, I was leaning towards some type of environmental science, but then again I dont know...Marine affairs, engineering, I really dont know :help:

Thanks guys, this was my first bike, and it was definately a challenge...It took me quite a while to get it to where I wanted it, but it looks awesome and my friend got a free detail!
