Blue-Sun Detailing: 08 Tundra

My neighbor stopped by a few weeks ago and asked if I'd be able to buff out his Tundra for him, he had recently debadged it and there was some ghosting/halos around where the badges were and he wanted it waxed.

So we set up a time for today and he brought over the Truck for me.

Process:

ONR for exterior wash

Menzerna IP/Meguiars Red Cutting Pad on PC7424

Stoners Invisible Glass on all exterior windows

Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner on chrome bumpers

ONR QD on wheels/tires to clean them

Meguiars Hyperdressing 3:1 on tires and exterior plastic trim

NXT Tech Wax Ver 2.0 on Paint via grey finish pad/PC7424

NXT removed with a blue pad/MF bonnet and Meguiars QD

Final wipe down with Meguiars Ultimate QD

#0000 Steele Wool/Generic Glass cleaner on non-polished OEM exhaust

The car was pretty clean when he got there, he had washed it a few days ago, so no before pics.

He had taken it back to the dealer shortly after he bought it and noticed some scratches, their hack detailers buffed the paint and left buffer trails all over the truck.

Thanks for looking

Looks very glossy.

Why do you have an extension cord draped on the paint surface like that? If that paint is as finicky as my Tundra's, that's a bad accident waiting to happen...

Jared: I have one of those retractable craftsmen chord reals hanging from my ceiling. The way it worked out logistically, I had to. But I always take care to not drag the chord across the paint. Also, the way I worked the panels, the chord was always touching a panel I had yet buffed.
