Hey guys,

First, thanks for all of your help lately. I have gotten quite acustomed to using the PC, after detailing 4 BMWs in the past 2 weeks. Today's challenge was a 2002 BMW, drive through automatic car washes, and "detailed" regularly by the dealership. The car is driven by an older gentlemen, and kick marks on the door panels and coffee stains are just a part of life. Its really upsetting that the dealership charges $600 for the "6-Year Total Protection Package". What a joke, the paint felt horrible and very dry.

The Process:

-Complete wash with Dawn

-Wheels cleaned with Kaboom and NXT Car Wash

-Clayed with Zaino clay

-1 Coat of ZPC-Fusion with Orange LC Pad/Speed 5

-2 Coats of ZFX-Enabled Z2

-Complete interior wipdown (Woolite/Water and Griots Interior Cleaner)

-Seats/Dash protected with 303

-Door planels cleaned with Vinylex

-Mats shampooed and extracted

Unfortunately, my digital camera sucks and I couldn't capture the swirls. They were quite bad. I first tried using a white polishing pad with the ZPC, but it failed horribly. I'll get some better after pictures soon, but heres what I have.

Let me know what you think. I know it is hard to see the paint on the afters, hopefully I'll have new photos and a new digital camera soon. (Any recommendations)

Thanks for your input!

Nice Job! Looks like a very spacious shop you have there. With the ZPC - I use a light cut orange pad with the pc on 6, and it cuts, and finishes flawlessly. As per camera, I would first try a tripod, as it will make a huge difference in picture quality. I had to take pics like that in a shop for a while, and I had the same troubles.

P.S. please put your location in your USER C.P.

Great Job!

Great job. You really renewed the interior -it looks awesome!!

My camera skills are poor, so I can't help much in that area :)

Very noticable improvement! The interior looks a lot better and depsite the lack of light, the exterior looks really good as well. How about taking some shots outside in better light? ;)

Looks good, especially the interior :up

For camera, I would recommend that you look at one of the traditional camera brands like: Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc. This way you can be pretty sure that the camera will have a decent lens. Don't go to compact in size, unless you really need the portability. Also read some reviews on sites like dpreview.com.

If you dont want to spend much for a compact camera I would go with Canon SD500 which is retailing off of pricegrabber for around 200-250. I keep that with me all the time and the pics come out pretty darn good. Great work on the car. Thats still my favorite 5 series.
