Blsckfire vs FMJ

Was wondering what the opinions were concerning these two sealants when compared side by side. Pros & cons so to speak.

I currently use Blackfire and really like it, but I'm always interested in hearing about other products.

Thanks,

Flish

Their All Paint Protection is hands down the best sealant I've EVER used. SOOO glossy and slick.. nothing even comes close.

Going to try their polishes, since it's manufactured by Menzerna and I don't have to pay high shipping costs for over-sea orders.

I thought the APP was basically the same thing as FMJ.

Basically.. but APP is much better IMO.

I bought the "new car" kit for $55. Worth every penny. I love their wash too..

If it is basically the same thing, why is APP much better? I have tried both and cannot tell a difference between the two at all.

I also used the gloss enhancing polish before as well. I have both, (4oz sample of FMJ) and the full bottle of APP, and I will forever use APP over the gloss enhancing polish.

I have three coats of APP on top of the gloss enhancing polish. The slickness is really out of this world..

Im still confused????If they are the same, why APP over FMJ

"Basically"

I don't know the chemical makeup of either, but they are similar style products... with APP producing better results for me.. that's all.

Ok. I was under the impression, that they were the "same" product. Not basically the same product. I am just trying to find out what the difference in results were.

If they were the same, I would have gotten the "same" result. ;)

That is what I am trying to figure out? What were the differences in your results? I did two cars and could not tell any difference what so ever.

I have both blackfire and fmj, like them both, both really to use, but I think the blackfire has a bit more depth on my red car.

Interesting....I was wondering if it's a marketing thing or if there's a difference between the two. Do they looks the same, liquid wise?

I'm using Blackfire and was wondering if it was worth it to try FMJ,(purpose of this thread) but it seems like most prefer Blackfireso far.

I also think blackfire produces very high gloss and surface slickness, but have not tried FMJ. The slickness Blackfire produces I've not seen yet produced by any other product I've tried to date.

Wehn deciding which one to purchase I got Blackfire because the way I was interpreting their material (Web site) they came up with Blackfire version after FMJ, so I assume it was their attempt to improve on FMJ. However, asking CMA directly might be a best way to get correct answer.

I do not plan to compare Blackfire against FMJ side by side because my gut feeling is either I would like Blackfire or result would be too close to bother for an extra coast. What I do want to try side by side is Blackfire vs. Opti-Seal.

I got the info from properautocare.com

I think they are the main distributor.

Yep. I consider Blackfire products amongst the top products IMO.

I have other go-to products, but like the overall general line..

So back to my main question to you, what were the differences that you saw between the two. I have yet to see any differences at all.
