Blower vs. Compressed Air

Got Wax

New member
Wel, this year we are really stepping it up: changed to the Flex 3401 (in process of a 3403), new trailer, press washer, just about everything. We are thinking of changing from Zymol Vintage to Swissvax Crystal Wax. My newest consideration is a blower vs. the compressed air we currently use. We already have the compressor and a new blower might be $ we can spend elsewhere.

So, for those of you who use either, do you find a blower to serve its purpose better than an air compressor?

Thanks,

ANdy

Yeah, I too have both and I use them differently even though it's all just "blowing the water around".

The blower (or in my case the AirWand) moves large amounts of water, but the compressor is the ticket for getting it out of nooks and crannies. The focused output of the compressor's smaller nozzle is just *different*. Better for some things, worse for others.

By the two replies provided, sounds like we should have both. Chemical Guys has theirs on sale right now. Think I'll pick one up. Gonna shop around and see what's best for the price.

i have both as well but i tend to use more my shop vac vacuums blower which is two in one i do a full interior blow out then vacuum. i saves me time as i dont have to get back in the van a pull the air hose and realed back in.

Personally I think a blower is just a waste of time and money.... Sure they have a neat little gimmick but an air compressor and the right set of air guns is far more useful both inside and out. But that's just my opinion I guess.

Jake,

This is exactly why we've not had a blower to this point. I totally agree that the A/C plays a more versatile role. Just thinking of new options. And, it seems those with blowers find they are more efficient on the larger portions of the car? But, is it worth the expense or, is it just another piece of equipment and an additional expense?
