Looks great Rob!! Congrats and enjoy it!

A huge THANK YOU from me has to go out to Josh. Thanks man........I really appreciate what you did for me! I can't figure out how to post my pics here, so I sent them to Joshua312 because he offered to re size them & post them for me.

There she is for all to see. She's just 8 days old, my new baby is........(lol) She'd been parked beneath a tree up at Dallas Dodge for some time before I bought her, so she was covered in sap that didn't wash off when the dealer had her washed. I'd personally like to thank the idiot who swirled/marred my new black paint after I told the dealer that under no circumstances did I want them "prepping" the car. For her first detail, I decided to give her a Z7 bath, clayed the paint & windows, bathed her in Z7 again. I then took out my trusty bottle of Klasse AIO & began caressing my new baby. By now, the paint was is really good shape in terms of being "squeeky" clean. I QD'd with Z6 before applying 2 layers of Z5Pro, using Z8 in between layers. I used about 3/4 of an ounce of Z5Pro, applying it to the entire car. (windows & paint) Topped her off with Z8 & there you have it. As for the tires..........I dressed them with Z16 AFTER the pics were taken.

I ordered the bra/nose mask for her earlier last week. It should be here by mid week.

All in all, I'm just thrilled with this car!

Thanks for peeking...............

Rob :woot2:

I'm on vacation this week, so I think I'll finish her off with a few layers of Z2Pro on Tuesday. I'm look'n forward to it!

Great lookin 300C! Love that black! No SRT8 though? LOL JK JK I would take that pinstripping off asap if it were mine, breaks it up too much. Congrats though man!

You've gotta valid point regarding the pin striping. However, it's something I can live with. It's pretty subtle, to my eye, and doesn't seem to break up the lines of the car.

Looks awesome!

The tint fits it *great*.

I thank you Sir! You're right about the tint. First off, you need the tint down here in West Texas. The sun is brutal down here. And secondly.......It looks really cool.

I came out to gawk at my car this morning. (lol) The Z5Pro just seems to be getting better & better (optically) as each day passes. Since I detailed her on Saturday, it seems to have taken 2 days for the Z5 Pro/Z8 combo to come alive. This morning, it's deeper & wetter. It makes me feel better, to be honest with ya. I was going through "carnauba withdrawal" & was second guessing myself for not going with my fav AIO/FX-100/Natty's Blue/Souveran combo on black paint. So now...........Should I apply a few layers of Z2Pro or leave it as is?????????? ( I think there's some layers of Z2Pro in my future...... It can only get better & wetter!! lol) :think2

Here's an update...........I couldn't keep my hands off my new "C". I just got through applying 2 layers of Z2Pro/Z8 combo. OH MY!! I was pretty happy with the Z5Pro...........But 2 layers of Z2Pro over it looks dripping wet! The whole paint on this car just came alive! It looks phenominal! I'll try to get some pics up so everyone can see the difference. And what a difference it is.

And there's more good news.........My nose mask/bra showed up today! The fun keeps on coming! :getdown

Most pinstiping is just a stick on piece that is very easy to take off if early on and leaves no residue. Just a thought, if you wanted.

I put the new Bra on her this moring. The funny part was the AIO/Z5Pro/Z2Pro/Z8 detail I did on her over the previous days, left the paint sooooooo slick that the hood piece of the bra kept slipping off the hood while I was trying to hook up the straps! That was fun..........

Ofcourse I had to take her out on the highway just to make sure the Bra was installed correctly! (lmao) The Hemi's for real...........340 horses & 390 lb-ft of torque get's the job done nicely. (he-he) :woot2:

Guess what??? After taking a long look at the "C" as she models her new Bra for me, I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the look of her in her new Bra. It seems to take away from the car's distinctive nose/front end's appearance. Go figure! However, I'll trade the diminished look for the proctection it provides.

Awesome car and excellent detail work! :)

Thank you, Scott! You have set the standard here when it comes to black vehicle details, so I appreciate the kudos. I have yet to post pics of my "C" after I applyed 2 layers of Z2Pro/Z8 over the Z5Pro. But trust me on this one........The paint is just dripping wet & a mile deep.

............Starting to get used the look of the Bra.......... :nixweiss

I sported a bra for a while on my 93 Firebird when I had it, just because underneath the bra it looked horrible due to the neglect of the original owner. As long as you take care of things underneath the bra at least you'll always have the option of taking it off if it starts too bug you.

Just curious as to why you didn't opt for the clea bra treatment?

Look at a clear bra. If you can find websites of local or state car clubs there, they are the best ways to find installers who know what they are doing.

Good luck,

Ryan.

PS: Go pats! ;)
