What`s up everyone! Been a minute since I`ve popped in over here and just thought I`d stop over and say `ello. The year is flying by and that`s not a bad thing, wasn`t the best one and I`m glad to put it behind me. One of my good friends and riding (harley) partner lost both legs (a month apart) to diabetes. My father in law (healthy as a horse, always at the doctor for any symptom) started to present with random shoulder pain around the New Year. New Years Eve found him in a hospital room with something funny going on with his heart. Doc`s couldn`t find anything wrong and sent him home a few days later. 3 weeks later his PCP called him and told him to get to the hospital immediately, his liver functions were through the roof. My wife and I spent the next 10 consecutive days visiting him (no one else came to see him). When the docs decided to do a liver biopsy I knew it wasn`t going to end well. (I`m a nurse by trade and knowing what I do is a blessing and a curse). My worst fear was confirmed - Stage IV liver cancer, he died less than 6 weeks later. I`m still trying to put the pieces together on that one. It wasn`t supposed to happen like this, my mother in law smokes like a chimney, has a horrendous smokers cough and is still kicking - not that I want to see anything bad happen to her. It`s just if I had to bet, she would have cost me a lot of money lol
Anyway, hope everyone is well. Sorry to be negative nancy over here. I`ll be more active, looking forward to crisp fall air and the winter holidays. Hopefully we will continue the autopia secret santa, that`s always a great time.
