Blackfire Wet Diamond Rules!!

Over the years, I have used just about every LSP under the sun (ask Ryan). I must say that Wet Diamond has become my absolute favorite LSP of all time. Not only is it easy to apply & remove, but it looks amazing on any color, it's incredibly slick, it protects well and is very inexpensive (a little goes a long way!).

I was waiting to give my thoughts on Wet Diamond, because I wanted to see how well it held up long-term. Over the past few months, I have worked on several cars that I previously used Wet Diamond on and it is still holding up surprisingly well. Todd told me how long it was lasting on his wifes car, but I found it hard to believe that it really lasted that long in the Florida heat. I guess he was right! My father is crazy about his vehicles and has always used Zaino because of it's durability, but ever since he's been using Wet Diamond, he's never looked back.

It's very rare that I talk about a specific product, but Blackfire has really impressed me so far. No matter what car I work on, I would say at least 90% of them recieve Wet Diamond. Sometimes I like to play around and top WD with some sort of carnauba for added looks and durability, but it is more for the fun of it than anything (I have serious OCD issues! :D). Wet Diamond looks amazing by itself, but can be taken to the next level with a top coat of carnauba. My personal favorites are Midnight Sun & Collinite 915.

If you haven't tried it yet, it's definitely worth picking some up! I'm already on my third bottle.

RR,

I think you hit all the major points. For me, it's the ease of application/removal, but MOST OF ALL, it is all about the slickness. I've never felt anything like it. Just crazy.

I agree. The slickness is very impressive. Lots of LSP's are very slick right after application, but very few are slick several months down the road.

Blackfire continues to impress me the more I use it. Great stuff!

I applied Wet Diamond to my black S2K last weekend. As some might recall, I applied a coat of Vintage in early August. Last weekend I decided that I had better start getting Luthien ready for winter.

First I applied Four Star Pre-Wax Cleanser to remove the Vintage and prepare the paint for the Wet Diamond sealant. I then applied a coat panel by panel. I tried to keep it thin, but it took me two panels to get the coat thin. I removed the sealant immediately after application, panel by panel. It was easy to remove and I did not see any streaking. Wet Diamonds ease of application and removal is a huge plus.

The gloss is excellent, though I cannot honestly say that it is superior to either NXT or Reflections. But as others have observed, it is also very slick.

I like Wet Diamond very much. I will not be topping it with anything during the winter months. I hope to apply a second after the next wash and then a third coat at the wash after that. That should take me through the winter. My plan is to maintain it with FK 425 after each wash and perhaps also some Ultimate Quik Wax, if I just can't leave things well enough alone.

I still prefer a carnauba look on Luthien. Next spring I will try the Fire & Ice combo.

It is really a great product, I find it looks the best on medium-darker metallics. This stuff makes a noticable difference even after excellent prep on those colors.

I still prefer a nuba' on darker solids, and on light metallics BF doesn't suit my taste as much as some other products I have in my arsenal (keep in mind my bottle is 3 and a half years old, the formula has probably been updated a few times since then).

Do you need to let the Wet Diamond haze and then remove, or should it be removed immediately after the application panel by panel like Al did?
(I will receive my Wet Diamond this Friday)

Oh, and Al, where are the pictures of Luthien wearing Wet Diamond? You know, we now expect pictures every time you dress Luthien with a new a LSP.

Haha! I figured everyone was tired of seeing my pics of Luthien, especially since my camera cannot catch the nuances between waxes. You've seen one set of Luthien's photographs, you've seen them all. But thanks for thinking of my Luthien. :)

I'm throwing away my other waxes . Probably not a direct comparison, but my Klasse Glaze doesn't do as well as Wet Diamond after applying Klasses AIO. There is no substitute...

Put those 10,000 LSP's on the back burner and get some Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Protection on your awesome ride's of yours and become a believer Pat.

Like Rick said, we have been using it on a ton of vehicles this year and I am totally blown away by the depth, gloss, and slickness that ######### wet Diamond gives.

Just buy it, there will be no regrets with it. Trust me!!!!!!!
