Blackfire products

I'm wondering if the new Blackfire Wet-Ice over Fire is worth buying.

I've heard good things about it, but I already have Wolfgang sealant 3.0, and Fuzion, so I'm not sure if I would be buying something similar in Blackfire. I've read many like the wet diamond by itself, and can't really tell a difference when they apply the Blackfire Carnauba over the sealant. Is this the case with those here that have used it?

I was thinking about buying the Gloss Enhancing Polish, the Wet-Ice Over Fire Shine Kit, and the Deep Gloss (Spray) Sealant. Not sure if I need all of this or not?? LOL

So, is all of this worth buying, or should I just stick with the Wolfgang/Fuzion.

Or should I just buy the Wet Diamond, and use one of the many Carnauba's I have over it if I wanted to?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I haven't used the newer version of BF, but the old, pre-PC stuff was OK. It darkens paint a bit much for my application (silver) but is great for satin/matte black surfaces like undercarriage/underhood parts.

I dunno...I only use mine for the black stuff, preferring other LSPs for the vehicles proper.

I love the new Wet-Ice! By far the slickest sealant I've used to date. Similar to DGPS 3.0 but even more slick. I think it's probably the easiest to use LSP I've tried too. :2thumbs:

I have the wet-ice over fire kit but I think I like the Wet-Ice by itself....not a big fan of topping LSP's

I agree with Rasky, I think the sealant looks great by itself - but ya'll know looks are subjective and they're both EXTREMELY easy to use!

I used Wet Diamond, All Finish Paint Protection this weekend as was quite impressed. Left nice slick finish and very easy to use.

I was planning on using it on black metallic paint. Will it darken it, or make it pop.

Do you guys use the Gloss Enhancing Polish before you applied the sealant? Also, do you use the Blackfire spray sealant for maintenance.

If I buy Blackfire I'm not sure if I'll spend the money on the Carnauba or not. I'm thinking it might be a waste of money, if I won't be able to tell the difference after applying .

Especially after some of you and others elsewhere say they like the looks of the sealant by itself.

Should make it pop, if your car needs polishing go for it. Wet Diamond, All Finish Paint Protection should be good by itself.

It is really worth the purchase Im with rasky on this one I love wet ice- Im actually a fan of putting a carnuba over sealent though. I have found the wet ice is slicker then the wolfgang deep paint gloss sealent< but I really like the fuzion over the wet ice!

I've been using Wet Diamond since it came out in 2006, although there were earlier versions of Blackfire around long before then. It seems that it is just starting to catch on now that a few key players are using it.

It looks great, is super easy to use and slick, and lasts a decent while.

Their Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish (say that five times fast :D) is, to my knowledge, rebottled Menzerna PO106FF.

Does the Fuzion have a better look than the Blackfire Midnight Sun?

I have a 2008 GTI, paint is black magic metallic - amazing metalflake in the sun, looks like gloss black in the evening - and after trying Blackfire sealant, I quit looking for the "best". Just for shizz and giggles - I went over my hood with CG wet mirror glaze, Jet Seal (2x) and CG 50-50, didn't look a bit better. And I'm going to remove that and re-apply Blackfire.

the wetice over fire shine kit is nice, but the carnauba wax itself isn't impressive imo, id say get the sealant and use any of your other nuba's to top.

Thanks for all of your help guys.

black03mach, yeah I was thinking about skipping the Blackfire Midnight Sun. Especially after reading several reviews on it last night. I figured I had some Carnauba's in my arsenal that would works just as well if not better.

Have any of you tried the BF Gloss Enhancing Polish, and the BF Deep Gloss (Spray) Sealant ? Are these worth buying?

I kinda like the GEP, the oils/etc. make it pretty good for a pre-sealant "glaze".

I don't think there's anything you *wouldn't* like about it.

I haven't tried the spray, but when I asked about spray sealants a while back people who like BF also liked the spray. I gather it compliments the "BF look" better than other such products.

Sounds good.

This is what I ordered.

Gloss Enhancing Polish

Wet Diamond

Spray Sealant

Ultimate Wax & Polish App

I left off the Midnight Sun.

Do you continue to use the Wet Diamond? If so, do you top it with anything, or just leave it like it is?

What did you personally think about Midnight Sun, after you used it over the Wet Diamond?
