As some of you may have read in my other post, my girlfriend recently purchased a 2002 SVT Focus. Today she came over and we spent a couple hours detailing it, since it has been raining and windy the last couple days it was pretty nasty.
We didn't clay the car because of time restraints and it didn't really need it (well, I would've done it if it was my car... but she vetoed the clay and SMR because we didn't have all day to spend). So we just washed it with Meguiars gold class shampoo, then applied Blackfire polish (not the reformulated stuff) with the orbital and a coat of Blackfire AFPP by hand with a foam applicator. Using microfiber for drying and to buff off all products of course
Then Meguiars Endurance on the tires, 303 on all plastic & rubber trim, Stoners Invisible Glass on windows, and Plexus on all the clear plastic parts.
I think it looks pretty darn good. There are a few very minor swirls that the dealer caused when they washed it (even though we told them not too
) but you have to really look hard to see them (even in bright sunlight).
