BlackFire Microfiber Cleaner Review

Microfiber towels aren't inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination. Caring for these investments can be challenging and finding a product that cleans well can be elusive at best.

Blackfire offers a wide variety of products and among those is their Microfiber Cleaner. As you can see it comes in a familiar 16 ounce package using a flip top spout.

BlackFire Microfiber Cleaner is easy to use, just follow the simple steps found on the back of the bottle.

BlackFire Microfiber Cleaner is different than all of the products I've tried in the past. The liquid is thick and not watery like most others I've tried. My feeling is this is much more concentrated packing more punch per ounce. :bigups

While basically a clear liquid but if you look closely it possess a purplish tint...

Before I toss my towels in the wash I like to pre-soak them in a bucket of hot water and Microfiber cleaner. I used one ounce per 3 gallons of water for the pre-soak.

While soaking I'll occasionally agitate the water just to turn the towels allowing the solution to do what it does best. These towels were very dirty and I was actually shocked at the amount of cleaning that was taking place during the pre-soak...time: 15 minutes.

From here they went into the washer. I used warm waster and 2 ounces of BlackFire Microfiber Cleaner. Once the cycle was complete into the dryer they went.

I have to admit curiosity was getting the best of me and once they were dry I wanted to see just how much of the dirt and stains were gone...

My waffle weave glass towels always seemed clean but they were badly stained. I was very surprised to find not only were these towels clean, the stains were also gone!!

Conclusions:

I was very pleased and also surprised how well this product worked. After trying several other microfiber towel cleaners I really expected this to be another run of the mill product....but it was far from that...

Even the cost is reasonable and because it really works all the more reason to pick up a bottle and try it yourself....:bigups

Cost - $12.99 a bottle...
Size - 16 ounce

that's good news bobby. i always wondered if these type of microfiber cleaners really worked or were just hype. good review.

Nice review Bobby. I like how you noted that is is thicker and not watery like most other MF cleaners. One question......did you still use a detergent in the washing machine or did you just strictly use the BF MF Cleaner?

In order to test the actual product I wanted to use it exactly as directed. I generally like to add white vinegar to the rinse however for this test only the Microfiber Wash was used...

Great review Bobby! Amazing stuff. I went through my first bottle quick so I ended trying to save some money and bought another name brand microfiber cleaner. Nothing like BF... I will be ordering another bottle of this stuff. Also I like the fact that I DON'T have to use anything else with it. Honestly this stuff is so concentrated I usually only added 1.5 oz for a small load of mf towels.

Thank you for the great review Bobby!

I would like to know if this product is safe for use in high efficiency washers?

I've used it in an he machine. Cut back to 0.5 oz & 1 oz (light/heavy load) and it works great. Rinses cleaner than some others.

Note - it might work just fine a direction strength but am always wary so start half or more strength.

Hmm, well this is some great info. I have used DP for years and never really tried anything else as it has always done a pretty decent job.

However, it never removes the stains it seems. I think I will be trying this when its time to re-order.

Thanks for the great review Bobby!

In the past I've used:

  • Pinnacle Microfiber Rejuvenator
  • DP Microfiber Cleaner
  • Micro-Restore Cleaner
  • Chemical Guys Microfiber Cleaner
  • Oxy-Clean
All of the above exhibited very similar results. Blackfire Microfiber Cleaner performed better but keep in mind I always use a hot water pre-soak...

I just did the pre-soak and yes, the water was filthy in just a couple minutes. Just threw the towels in the wash and letting the MF pads soak some more and then I'll hand clean those.

EDIT: There are still a lot of stains on my towels but they are definitely lighter. Some of my multipurpose MF towels are very old and well used so I was not expecting them to be spotless. So far so good overall.

Bobby thanks for kicking this off. Great review. BF with be my. Ext purchase once the micro restore is done. My MF get clean but not spotless. Let's see what happens. I will follow up.

Thanks

I'll have to give this a try. I've used DP, Pinnacle, Micro Restore, Charlie's soap and another that I can't remember… all seem to work fine but none really remove dark staining even with soaking.
