Black Yukon - XMT Finishing Glaze/Liquid Souveran

I've been busy and haven't been posting much lately...anyway I polished My Yukon and removed the spiderwebbing/imperfections about a month ago.

I received some Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze and Liquid Souveran and decided to this combo on my Yukon.

XMT Finishing glaze - Very nice glaze, easy to apply and removal was just as easy - leaves a tad bit "brighter" finish then Clearkote RMG, also just like most glazes, covers very light marring or spiderwebbing.

Liquid Souveran wax - Again, very easy to apply and remove, no streaking - no effort needed...wipe on, let haze, wipe off. Leaves a darker finish then Souveran Paste wax, very similar to Clearkote Carnauba Moose wax. This stuff is super slick though, one of the slickest wax I've felt.

This combo leaves a very nice wet look to the paint and like I said is super slick!

Here are some pics - Enjoy!

This guys pulled up when I was taking some pics and I though it would be interesting to see the difference between detailed

and non-detailed paint in the same shot.

Looks very good. Give us an update on how long it will last if you can. Thanks!

I will....if I can go that long without trying something new is the true test :chuckle: :waxing:

:bow Sweet work! I recently got to do a Black Yukon Denali and used liquid Souveran on it(prepped with OHC and FPII), and it turned out super wet and deep. Only yours looks like 10 times better. I envy your finish!

Just beautiful!!! :2thumbs:

I noticed the slickness factor with Liquid Souveran too...by far the slickest LSP Pinnacle makes.

Thanks guys!

1 Clean WS6 I was truly amazed at the slickness of it, one of the slickest wax/sealants I've used.

brianshaeffer Thanks that's good to know

Looks great, can I ask what you used on your trim? It looks perfect!

Thanks, for the upper trim (window trim, wiper cowl, rear vents) I use VM

For the roof rack, running boards, and rear bumper - 1 coat of Z16 or B&B buffed dry for a satin finish and make it less slick.

great post, having been using XMT too, and really like this stuff, also use Souveran but in paste so interesting to read about the liquid.

Am about to get some RMG so will share my thoughts with your comparison to XMT :)

I haven't done a side by side but I think there is only sight differences between the 2. I think XMT is a little easier to work with - RMG gives a richer, darker appearance to the paint and XMT gives a slight more reflective look.

Both are very nice glazes though. :2thumbs:
