black wow before and afters

I have been meaning to order some. How far does it go and does it stay permanently or does it wash off after a while?

I tried some on a bumper, and when it rained it ran off. Maybe it didn't have enough time to dry though...the was was pretty soon after the application. Would like to hear other opinions.

My application has been through several rains and has not worn off. (I can tell because I missed some areas on my windshield cowl...that's what I get for applying it in little lighting.) :doh

Does Black Wow offer any UV protection?

I applied some to my Taurus's plastic trim and it did a nice job. It smells like strawberries and you use a very little amount.

It also helps to remove stubborn wax/sealant off of the trim! :wow:

It supposed to smell like watermelon jollyranchers. That is what Richard(maker of black wow) said he wanted it to smell like.

i believe the best application method is the apply, then wash the car to alleviate any initial running. After that the stuff is there to stay.

I just tried BW for the first time the other day when I applied it to my new Z06. I did the passenger side trim with BW and the drivers side with Eimann Fabrik Black Sapphire that I bought from CMA a while back. The final look was the same but the BW required much more elbow grease to apply. I don't know about durability or dust collection yet but I can say already that the Eimann Fabrik was MUCH easier to apply and looks exactly the same thus far.

I don't know if its me, but black wow is not working for me. I did what the video said and read the direction on the bottle and trim card. But it's not spreading around easy(using a foam applicator). I only have a G35 and only the side mirrors, siruis antenna and grills have to be done. But I don't want to use the whole bottle to just do these parts and thats it.

Are there any tricks to using this. Should I wet my foam applicator first ???

It might be your applicator .. I have been using one of the cheapie yellow/green small kitchen sponges cut in 1/3. I did the bumper rub strip on a Matrix today and used 2 drops. Had no problem applying it to an Audi and to my TL.

I have a G coupe and use it on the bracket holding both mirrors, top trim, side window trim, front windshied trim, windshield wiper cowl, and plastic engine parts. I apply with a foam brush and let it sit overnight. The next day I wipe it down with an old damp mf. It does attract alot of dust at first, but after buffing its fine. This is my second application in 4 mos. and used maybe 1/8 of the bottle.

IMO, is way too greasy to be used on door handles and very dangerous if its used on step boards, the customer might slip and fall then ofcourse sue you.

Also, to me, is not any different from a tire dressing, I regret buying it, $25 Ill never see again.
