black wheels - CC overspray

I'm working with a set of black FR500 mustang wheels. They have a polished and CC'd lip. They have moderate to seveare clear coat overspray on them. I tried claying them a few months ago, but it just made what looked like marring all over them. I had to hand polish with 85rd to take it out. None of that touched the overspray, btw. So far I've tried: clay, powergloss by hand, simple green 3:1, powerclean 10:1 and strong concentrations of wash soap. What can I possibly use to get this stuff off? I have some s100 wheel gel I'm going to throw at it, but I doubt thats going to do the trick.

On a side note, I had CC overspray all down the left side of my car at one point in time, and the only thing i could do to get it off was polishing with ssr2.5 @ speed 6 on a PC. Obviously I can't get any machine in these tiny crevises of these wheels, so what would you all recommend? I'm thinking maybe a more aggressive clay, but I'm not sure, and I don't own anything more aggressive than clay magic blue. Before I go buy aggressive clay I'd like the expert's opinoins.

THANKS!! :wavey
