Black vs Blue Pad

I use blue pads to apply sealers, gloss, and sometimes wax. Should I be using a black pad instead?

When do I use blue vs black. I use the CCS pads with my PC

I think both the blue and black pads are non abrasive so it probably doesn't matter. Blue, black and Megs Tan seem to be very similar. About the only time to use them is with an AIO.

I agree. For LSPs/glazes/etc and even final polishing, as long as the pad doesn't contribute any cut of its own I can't imagine (and have never seen evidence of) it mattering.

I can imagine some *VERY* fragile, super-soft paints being an exception here (with regard to micromarring from final polishes) but I've yet to experience it.

Plenty of "polishing" pads are nonabrasive too, and I generally prefer not-too-soft/more open-pore pads for most everything...just a personal preference. That black LC pad just isn't something I like using very much.
