Sorry can't get pic to load ....

Anyway I took my black Tahoe and Dawn washed , polished . I then applied 845 , the next day i wiped with Megs #34 , then applied 476s , next couple days I wiped again with #34 , then applied a 2nd coat of 845 after a few days my Collinite 915 came via the big brown truck. I again wiped with with #34 and applied the 915. The results are stunning and have got a lot of inquiries about what I did and how it shines. More so than I ever did with anything else. Makes me feel good.

The 915 is a fantastic wax and easier to work with than 476s . I know this is over kill but wanted to get my truck done for winter since that will leave me open for other cars to do for winter protection. I may apply another coat of the 915 since I liked the look so much and like paste waxing.

I don't really know if the 476s was a "must do" maybe a couple coats of 845 after a good polish followed by the 915 would have been sufficient. 476s is a very durable product , but kind of tuff to work with but after trying different methods it became easy. I did basically a wowo with the 476s very little haze before wiping and did 1 panel at a time.

Collinite seems to having some learning curve to some of the products so I was able to apply and take off easy.

I highly recommend 845 , 476 & 915 waxes ( and I dont recommend very often ) I also think the #34 wipe downs in-between were a key also for removing any residue.

Next Im going to do the Vette with 845 and 915 so see how it come out on Blaze Silver. That should be good for winter storage.

As far as maint. I will probably do ONR washes and maintain with #34 as a QD. Might try other QD's too since I have a shelf full , may OID since thats and excellent qd , but I know #34 does not streak on my black paint so maybe stick with what works I guess , does not attract must dust either.

Thank you for reading. Any questions let me know.

Fallguy- Hey, that sounds great!

Your combo is much like my "Collinite Sandwich" (845/476S/845) but with a 915 topper.

FWIW, some QDs don't play nice with Collinite IME (never did figure out why). My overall fave for use on Collinite, especially on dark colors, is Griot's SpeedShine. It adds a lot more (both "QD-stuff"/wax for protection and also looks, at least IMO) than M34, which I consider a very "clean" QD, and one that can sometimes kill off nearly-dead wax instead of helping it hang on until the next wash (which the SpeedShine does quite nicely). SpeedShine is utterly Accumulator-proof too, never had it streak even on the Granite Metallic Yukon, which was one seriously problematic paint (on which I used Collinite for a few years).

Sorry to thread jack, I have been looking into using collinite on my mirabeau blue car and will be picking up collinite 476s thanks to Accumulator's advice.

I'm very interested in your combo fallguy, but I'm itching to try Chemical guys blacklight. Do you think its a good idea in terms of durability (for winter conditions of 5-6 months) to apply one layer of black light, then two layers of collinite 476s on top?

Kouyo- FWIW, and I've never tried BlackLight, 476S will stay OK over top of most anything. I've even had oils dissipate under 476S (hidden marring "came back") while the 476S remained OK (still beading/protecting/slicke/etc.).

I picked up black light and 476 tonight and gonna give it a try this weekend.. I'll report back how long it will last for soon =)
