So, I eneded up with a mild burn in the Tahoe paint last Christmas (too much egg nog!). The good news is… I got the scratch out!!!!
We covered the blemish with a sticker pin stripe, but after a few months the sticker started peeling, and basically started to look like sh**.
Last weekend we had a local pin-striper come to our house. He normally doesn’t do house calls, but knows my neighbour. This guy has 30 years of experience and paints free hand –no template, tape, etc.. It’s really something to see. Unfortunately he would not allow me to take photos during his work, but let me tell you, it is a skilled trade. He said it took him 2-3 years to learn his art. It took him about an hour to stripe the truck, and about a ½ hour to look at my problem area and come up with a few alternatives to mask the blemish.
Here is a picture of the blemish, after I de-stripped the Tahoe.
A few shots after the new stripe was painted.
