Here are some shots showing my efforts after being tutored by Brad our moderator, in swirl removal.

First the trunk that he and I worked on together using 3mPI-III RC and DACP followed up by #80 and today UPPx2.

Then the hood I did myself this morning, then the whole car.

It's hard to tell the improvement from the earlier pictures in my gallery, but believe me, the many swirls and water spots were greatly reduced, though not eliminated. Getting it really fine will take a lot more time.

But I smiled when my neighbor came up and asked where I got the "new" car. He thought it was at most a couple of years old. He almost dropped his groceries when I said it was a 1995 that I picked up off Ebay for $8800!

Very nice! I certainly understand what you are going through. Even though family owned, my 626, while taken care of mechanically, the car was hardly washed when my brother owned it and never waxed. I probably have 15+ hours of just polishing into my paint in less than a year.

Just spend a few hours on it each month, maybe concentrate on a section at a time and all the now minor defects will become practically non-existant.

A compliment from Scottwax! Now I can die and go to heaven!

Thanks for the encouragement.
