Black paint or Anodized

My wife's '95 Nissan Pathfinder has a wind deflector above the rear hatch. It was a flat/satin black. Three fourths of the black has faded away. What is left is silver. It appears to be aluminum. Sorry, I didn't try a magnet test and the wife is off with the car right now. Can a body shop repaint this or was it anodized and must be replaced with a new deflector?

Absolutely you can have this repainted. Consider doing this yourself as well. It's painted in satin black which is easy to paint by the do it yourselfer. Far cheaper than a new part. Just a thought if money is a concern.

Brad is right, you can do it yourself for not much $$$$. Get a self etching primer and a OEM Black trim paint and you will be all set. I know Eastwood sells the primer and OEM trim paint. www.eastwoodco.com
