I'm amazed you were able to remove such a high percentage of the swirls in so few steps...and without going with a really heavy compound. You must have spent a good amount of time on each step? Great work - there's nothing like black.

It's threads like these that remind me how far I have yet to go on the detailing continuum...

Great job, man! Those hood shots made my jaw hit the floor!

I feel the same exact way! Great job! Unreal transformation especially with those deep scratches! :2thumbs:

Thank you … Thank you :hifive: :thx

12 h of work! :buffing: But the result is super ;) :cooleek: :2thumbs:

Kikim, it looks like you were able to remove about 90% of the swirls (it's always hard for me to tell in pictures because light swirls (visible in direct sunlight) don't usually show in pics.

Also, did you notice the finish quality go down slightly when you went from 106FF fvia rotary to FPII via PC...I know I usually do. I've done quite a few black Nissans...the paint is relatively soft and the PC (or any DA) tends to leave housands of little micro-gashes (still better than swirls) visible under halogens (or seen as a haze in direct sunlight). You can see the difference in the finish when going from the rotary to PC...even when using Menzerna :( Not to knock your work, but it sure looks like I can see this "haze" of microgashing in some of those pictures.

Those scratches were just nasty! Amazing transformation, you can sure see that you put a lot of effort into the Altima. As said, great build up to the finale of the afters. Very wet, deep looking black. :hifive:
