Couple little swirls still there, but have to be like 6" off the finish before seeing them.

eh, who can tell the difference? Not me... Why not take some direct shots like the before shot. NO offense but i hate when people take before shots and they're aftershots are at total different angles and you can't tell crap...

It's not really a glaze, its more like an utlra fine cut polish compound kind of like Men. FP. Actually it was my first time using this polish, I usually have yo use 3M fine cut rc and a cutting pad, but the swirls were pretty light and not very deep.

btw, added better pics up top per request.

I hope you are joking. The first shot and the last shot are from identical angles and in identical lighting. Awesome work, Jeeper! I'm confused, though. Is this your new toy or was this a customer?

yeah, the neighbor was like  WTF? why do you need to spend all day waxing new paint. Of course, I think very few people know what a swirl is. They look at two black cars both of equal shine with the same wax, one with swirls and one fully polished. They will see a difference but not be able to tell exactly what it is.

the claying is what took 40% of the time on this car. Mostly because it was off the lot and not right off the truck like most of you guys get. Alot of junk was bonded to the paint, mostly just dirt particles, no chemical or rail dust that I saw. I clayed the windows too.

Another part that took a long time is the Z2. Not because it is hard to use, but because I z2ed everything, door jambs, wheels, underside of hood, all the little nooks and crannies, etc. I used 2oz for just one coat over everything.

I instructed the dealer not to polish it. They only hand washed it once when it got on the lot and once when I took delivery (so I could see any scratches) So all those before swirls were from two dealer washes.

I got the rust off the pedals w/ AIO.

LouisanaJeeper,

Just be careful with those stock Goodyears in the rain! You might find yourself going backwards down the highway :) I replaced mine with BFGoodrich KDWs less than a week after I picked it up.

You may also want to visit the forums at www.modulardepot.com. It is a lot more technically focused than Stangnet is these days.

I topped the hood only with some NXT to help hide a few microswirls I got while washing, hehe black is going to be real fun in keeping swirls out.
