Black LX470

~werd to yo mutha~
Did my Mom's 01 LX470 this past Sunday. It is an 01, but we have updated the wheels (got a heck of a deal). Put about 8.5 hours into the exterior and didnt touch the interior yet. I was planning to do the interior this coming weekend, but now that I've been fortunate enough to injure myself, I wont be doing it. Anyway, it's not 100% perfect, but it's nicer than just about any daily driven black car that I've ever seen on the road.

Wash with NXT
No need for clay
2 passes with SSR2.5 on a Polishing pad, speed 6
AIO on polishing pad
EX on finishing pad
Souveran by hand
Adam's In&Out spray on the running boards
AA in the wells
VRT on the tires

On the roof I used Pro Polish and Z1, Z2

I'll probably put a coat of EX-P on the metallic gray when I get off these damn crutches.

WOW! Very nice work. Don't you just love Pinnacle Souveran! Of course, poorboy's polishes can make NuFinish look good!

*Claps hands* Hope you get better. Worthy indeed to work with crutches. How do you think the In&Out will hold up? EX + Souveran = Wet

Thanks. Doc said to take some meds he gave me and if my knee still hurts, that I have to go see an Orthopedic surgeon. I actually wasnt on the crutches on Sunday while I was working on the car. I actually tore some cartilege (sp?) in my knee on Monday night. The In & Out seems to hold up pretty well considering.....My mom is really short and even with the suspension set all the way low, she still steps on the running boards. I will say that I used In&Out on my sisters Jetta (on that black plastic that is at goes around the bottom of the car and it held up very well on that. Even seemed to make it through some rain.

Thanks for the comments guys. I really shouldnt have cut all the pics down so small, but I wanted to be friendly to those with slow connections.
