Black Jeep Rubicon, Major Paint Correction, and CQuartz Finest Coating Application

Rasky's Auto Detailing
I know it’s supposed to be a “Jeep thing, and I do get it, but I still really dislike polishing these vehicles, and I’m sure most detailers will agree. This off road king will be the 2nd vehicle I’ve done for this client now. This vehicle gets used to go to the cabin a lot, seeing its share of bugs, sap, and other harsh elements, so he wanted to get her all polished up, looking good, and then protected with CQuartz Finest. As you can see from the pics, this Jeep required a good amount of polishing to get it back to like new, and with all those tight areas and protruding hinges, not to mention all the trim, this one took a lot of time as well.

Before (Don’t look so bad in the shade)

50/50 shots (some deep RIDS remained)

After with Fenix LED

Large aperture

Small aperture

Thanks for looking,

I love those 10th anniversary Rubicons.  I've always wanted a Wrangler but always seem to change my mind when the time comes.

Great work on the triple black.

I did one almost exactly like this a couple months ago and I completely agree.....one of the biggest pain in the ass vehicles I've done.  Turned out great man.

I agree.  One of my least favorite vehicles to polish.

Rasky hit it out of the park with this one!  (Like usual)

Nice! Those rank right up with the H1's. Black takes skills but add crazy angles and weird tight spots is another ball game. Great work always!

Lol. Rasky and all you seasoned pros give me much relief about Jeeps. I have just about a year under my belt having a part time detailing biz and I recently got to do a one-step on a Rubicon as well. It was a pita and until now I thought I was the only one who felt it that way. The client was very happy and the end result was great but it wasn't fun at all. Had to buy Carpro Dlux after that detail too when I discovered the black plastic trim doesn't darken much with products like opti-bond and perl. I have two more Jeeps to do soon so I'm glad to know what's ahead.

Great job Rasky!

Thanks guys!

Yeah, DLux and other similar coatings are the way to go for plastic trim that isn't too far gone. You had asked about what I used on the trim in my other thread, but it looks like you figured it out. :)
