“Two step correction”​

Got the go ahead on this one after the shop owner saw the results from the 458 Italia I did for another client of mine at his shop. Apparently no one in the shop saw the point to detailing the car given its condition, but in the end, all were amazed at the turn around! It was like looking at a new car! I would say it was in the 95% MUCH better condition overall! The clear bra cleaned up better than I thought it would, and a lot of the deep scratches (needing repaint, not even touch up paint) blending in with the look of the deeper, wetter paint and became less noticeable! Time well spent on this Ferrari 360 Modena!

After compounding only with Megs MF/D300: still needing to be refined with one more pass with less aggressive polishing – this is where most other shops stop and just glaze and wax, but not me!

All in all, this was 10 straight hours of working to get the car into a MUCH better condition. I’ll be willing to bet the owner will more than likely take better care of it from now on!

You guys truly amaze me. I have a black car and granted, it is a rather large SUV but it takes me 20+ hours to achieve that kind of finish with a two step. I really need to look into this Megs/MF combo.
 
Its possible due to the softer paint on the ferrari! 105 would have chewed it up big time and left a heck of a mess! 203 didnt have enough cut to it! D300 was perfect!



Andrew, I know man, everything I do is jacked up! LOL Oh well, thats why I am in business!
 
Stellar job of paint recovery! May I ask who is the manufacturer of the area work light you're using and where did you purchase it? Thanks!
 
10 hours all said and done, I could have used more time for the clean up stuff, but shop closed up!

Did you ever find out who makes that area work light? I'm assuming that light belonged to the shop and is not your personal everyday area light.



Those reflection shots appear that it could be a daylight colored halogen bulbs rather than leds???
