Black Corvette detail

Im doing a full paint detail on a 2002 black Corvette which has A LOT of tiny scratches and waterspots. Im thinking of using PG with a black finishing VC pad on it with my Metabo rotary on low. Its either that or starting with IP and an orange VC cutting pad. The order looks like this:
Wash
clay
wash
either the PG or the IP
then FP2 with a white polishing VC pad
FMJ with blue VC finishing pad
2 coats of TS
........................which would you start with the PG or the IP?

After seeing that black Porsche, Im going to start with the PG and go from there.

well the old adage start with the least abrasive product first.

But i started with yellow pad and IP , its better 2 start with the least agressive method ( regarding the situation, )
