Black Cobra & Black Explorer.......

I have a 97 Cobra and a 99 Explorer that are both black. I was wondering what combination looks good on Ford black paint? The cobra has some wierd spiderweb? marks on it or tiny white micro bubbles? Is there any way to polish this out? It also looks like it got hit with acid rain. It looks like water beads dried on the car, only the paint is etched in these locations.

I'm going to be getting a pc 7336 with the Sonus backing pad kit soon and was wondering what to use.

Would Klasse AIO with P21s work well? What about the Sonus SFX-1, 2, &2???

Thanks for the help

See below for pics!

I have an 04 GT.

used the PC with some Menzerna intensive polish kit, then hand applied a coat of Collinite 476s.

I have a 94 Mustang GT Convertible and I've had really good luck using Meguiars DACP, Meguiars #2 followed by Clearkotes Vanilla Moose and Poorboys EX P. The Vanilla Moose Glaze does a nice job of smoothing out the paint and adding more depth and pop to the paint. Goes on and off real easy also. I'm going to be trying some 4 * UPP here soon as I here it really makes the paint slick. I've been using Meguiars Final Detail as a quick detailer, but probably going to switch to Poorboys Spray and Gloss, Adams Quick Detailer or Clearkotes Quickshine as Final Detail is no longer available.:)

Download DavidB's E-book and do a search for this. This kind of thing pops up every week. A search for "polish how to" will yield great results. Also, click the "learn" icon at the top of your screen.

You're not gettign many responses because this has been answered more times than people care to discuss.

Thanks for the replys so far. I finally went out and bought a PC 7336SP today for $99 at Lowes. I'm going to order the Sonus SFX foam pad kit with most likely the following:

SFX-1

SFX-2

SFX-3

Klasse AIO

P21S

or

SSR 2.5

SSR2.0

SSR1.0

Klasse AIO

P21S

Because my cobra has such bad water etching all over it, I think I am going to have to use the SFX-1. The most abrasive thing I've tried on it so far is Meguiars ScratchX, which didn't do anything.

I keep on reading that its almost impossible to damage your paint with a dual action polisher, but what about with something as deep cutting as the SFX-1?

And from what I have read, AIO and wax are both most commonly applied by hand instead of using the PC... right?

Thanks for the replys, and sorry for the annoying "newb" questions.
