Black cars?

I drive a black BMW and this question is not easy to answer. I use a rotary and orbital to get most all the swrils out. If you do not have any of these or no how to use them, then hand applications will produce some decent results. The products that you use are also a key factor.

Question how old is the car, how do you wash the car currently, how much time do you want to spend, and do you have any tools at all.
 
No matter what steps you take, I found that when buffing and waxing a black car, use only your best stuff and if you don't have any, get some. A black car can reward you with a mirror shine or mock you with swirls if you aren't using good quality products.
 
heres what i do on dark cars ..clay , polish ,carnuba or a sealer . i think carnuba gives a better look on dark colors .. deeper shine but sealer gives a clearer bright appearance ,, i have a black vehicle and i used the products i listed but i wax it every 2 weeks with a special wax made for showcars it doesnt last long but it looks like a black mirror .. the product is p&s par-k wax p&s is really only available on the west coast to car dealers and detail shops so i really dont list product names here because most people cant get them ..

P&S has a great product out called "shine all" its used for motors,wells, plastic trim. I got a gallon of it at 20 something. I know your a P&S guys to get some if you haven't already
 
im using several dressings .. i tried island shine .real shiny.im not real crazy about it too shiny .... thick shine is the water based dressing i like you can dilute it 3:1 ..and it looks real good on engines ill medium gloss and the solvent based dressing i like is multi dressing .. i use it on wheelwells tires and it gives chrome rims a shine that is unreal it must be the silicone .. im using the thickshine on my car because the slovent based dressing tends to build up on the tires after about 5 applications and gets kinda greasy .. ill check out shine all next week thanx fror the tip.. you gotta try the par-k wax it comes in a little bottle around 12.00.. unreal on black ...
