I have a black Trans Am and getting it to look perfect is almost nearly impossible. Is there any ways that you guys know of that would help me achieve the finish im looking for? . I only have a PC and I have got the paint swirl free but there is still some clear coat scratches that I just cant seem to get rid of. I’ve been thinking about getting a rotary if it would make the paint look any better. But I don’t know exactly how to use one. Also what products do you recommend on a black paint? and what steps should the process be? Please :help:

If the scratches are not very deep (If they are leave it as is) you should try smaller pads on your pc (4") and some compound and then polish.

The fact that it's a TA indicates it's at least several years old. If I were you, I'd do what I can to a *reasonable* extent, but not necessarily shoot for perfection. Paint is thin stuff and it's worth living with some level of imperfection to maintain original paint. You might just shoot for a decent improvement, which might involve a rotary, then use a product with fillers, such as a glaze or Swirlbuster polish.
