Black BMW recovers from Brillo pads

Or at least that what it seemed like. I had a customer with a fine BMW 3 series convertible, that had severe marring from poor car cover, washing and drying habits. Well, a 4 hour slow but steady job left the owner stunned.

Wash

Clay

Menzerna IP with Orange Pad via Rotary at 1200 RPM

Menzerna FPII with Green Pad via PC at 5

Chemical Guys M-Seal with Grey Pad via PC at 1.5

awesome, i always though that the IP on the PC wouldn't take those out, but i never tried it with a rotary. Must have gone a lot quicker huh! Great job, CC on that car is pretty hard.

Great job!

I'm even more impressed that you did that in 4 hours. Was it by yourself? Any tips? Clay as you wash, etc.? I guess no roof helps also. :lol

So much better! :bow

You ought to put a 'not work safe warning' on those before pics. Absolutely hideous! :nervous2:

Wow! Very nice improvement. I'm also impressed that you were able to do the whole car in four hours. Did you do the inside too?

Nice work, great results considering the low RPM!

A lot of my polishing is done with a max rpm of 1200rpms. Only time I go a little higher (1500rpms) is on horizontal flat polishing. I tend to get good results this way. Of course I may need 5-6 passes instead of 3-4.

Looks much better:up . Is the fine marring that is visible in the sun pics marring that wouldn't come out, or was it induced by the PC? I ask this because I've experienced this with the PC.

Damn nice looking work Craigster!

I think someone gave you insider tips on operating your Makita :) (JK)

Black BMW paint isn't a lot of fun to correct and you knocked it out of the park.

Again, very impressive!
