Owner is my friends, father. Car is only 2 years old, but was in pretty bad conditon. They park it outside, but it gets showered every night by the gated communities sprinkler system. Not only that, but it was covered in swirls. They took it to a local carwash... and it did a number on it. 3rd full detail so far. Total time was 13 hours...

Heres some befores.

Those hard water stains made me want to cry. For the love, tell them to park this thing inside! Nice work bringing her back.

Very nice!

Any reason you thought you should have done an IPA wipe down?

Seems there would be no need with Prime or FP II.

That thing was in awful shape, but you did a nice job on the turnaround. I have just tryed out some Werkstatt yesterday, and I'm digging the clarity and wetness, but not so much the ease of use. Was the 5 series easy to correct? I'm asking because I will be doing a full swirl removal in the near future on one of those using IP/orange via PC and I am concerned whether it is agressive enough.

That looks great.

2.5i?

Don't the 525i and 530i BMW's use the same 3 Liter engine. Just different stage Intake and whatnot...? Atleast in the states.

04Cobra - The IPA mixture seems to clean up the polish residue easier then a QD. Not to mention it's way cheaper too

Bigpoppa - The 5 series wasn't to bad. IP w/ the Orange pad cut right through the swirling. I was actually expecting the clear to be a bit more harder to work with, but it didn't seem to be the case.

Everyone else, thanks for the comments!

Yep. Currently the 525i and 325i are 3.0-liter engines with detuned intakes and different cams. On the 2006 BMW Z4, they use the same engine but call it the 3.0i. The 3.0i in the 3-series and 5-series is call the 3.0si in the 2006 Z4, because the 2005 3.0i is the same as the 2.5i in the 3 and 5, while the 2.5i in my car is the same as the 3.0i with a different crank - does your head hurt yet, or should I talk about the upcoming 3.0-liter 335i?
