Black BMW 330

I have never used a Flex before. I typically use a rotary or PC, but I figured I would give the Flex a try. I liked it...it was a little heavy, but I could definitely see that it had more power than the PC.

For this detail, I washed with the 2 bucket method, and Duragloss 901. I then clayed with Mother's Yellow clay, and QEW / water as the lube. I used the Flex, speed 6, LC White, and 1Z High Gloss Polish. I have been using the 1Z High Gloss more than 106ff lately, as I really like working with it. I then foamed the car with Duragloss 901 to get the dust from the 1Z polish off, and dried. Next, I applied Poli Seal with the PC and Meguiar's Tan pad, speed 5. I topped the Poli Seal with Carnauba Moose Wax by hand.

Notables - S100 Wheel Cleaner on the horrible BMW brake dust and Meguiar's Water Based Dressing on the tires. I only took after pictures...

The finish looks GREAT!!! Which type of applicator did you use when applying CMW? The circular foam, or the 'oval' foam applicators?

Thanks - I used a Meguiar's yellow foam round applicator. Actually, I use the Meguair's applicators for everything from using M105 by hand around door handles, all the way to applying Zaino and waxes.

Thanks guys for the complimetns. The client doesn't have a garage, and the car doesn't get cleaned very often due to her work schedule. Last time I detailed it (last year), I put 15 hours in it. Today, it only took me 7 hours.

very nice, u prefer the Iz over 106 (final polish?)? Looks great i might have to try that poliseal with cmw over it.

I do, but that's just my personal experience. I love the gloss it leaves on the paint. It is nice to use with a rotary also, because the recommended range is 700-1000 rpm (quite low).
