This A6 is a 2017 but hasn`t been clayed, polished, etc. for almost a year. Its first 8 months was spent just sitting on a dealer lot. Today I just worked on the hood mostly because the rest of the car really isn`t too bad and I also wanted to try out some new to me products. First I washed the hood with Opti-Clean and then clayed it with Chemical Guys fine grade clay.
Here is the initial condition of the paint. In the second picture, you can see a pretty large bird dropping etching which is mostly why I wanted to work on the hood.
After 2 passes of Menzerna FG400 on an orange Uber pad using my GG6 on speed 5 things were looking good.
Then 1 pass of M205 on a green Uber pad on speed 4.
Then I finished with Essence on a green Uber pad on speed 3 and coated it with Wolfgang Uber ceramic coating.
