Where to start. ... I had detailing this car when the owner basically first purchased it, and that was looong time ago. Well, he had gotten back in touch b/c his wife took a snow brush to it during one of our ice/snow storms. So going in to this, I knew it probably wouldnt be pretty. This car seems to hide its defects very well, b/c I wasnt really expecting it to be this tough. Heres the lowdown:
Work time: 8 hours
Full interior and Full exterior (per customer: "do your best", lol)
ONR wash
Clay
ssr2.5 (hood received ohc on purple wool @ 1500 first, then moved to 2x 2.5 on org)
ssr1
CMW
clearkote metal polish on exhaust
ots on tires
Interior:
303 Aerospace
Leatherique PC
Pics pics pics
And I realize the hood could've probably used another pass or two, but after doing 4 or 5 already, I felt as though I had it to the point where it was very good and I could do any finishing or additional correcting when I see it again in April)
For starters:
And here are some hood shots. This was by far the worst section of the car. The rest was just average defects, but this hood... ugh... it was just trashed.
Clay after 1/2 of the hood
AFTERS:
I did what I could here.....
Probably could've taken some better afters... but screw it. I was/am exhausted and just wanted to clean up and go home.
And... for having such a relatively clean interior, I did have to give him the "weirdest item found while detailing award" for the year so far. Luckily they were probably only 2 weeks old.. that could've gotten ugly. ... i was tempted to eat them towards the end of the night, lol.
