Black Acura CL

Doing stuff.
Did a bit of a job on this one today. Wash, clay, DACP with PC, #26 on most of the car, NXT on the bumpers and skirts. Last time I'll be using DACP with the PC, it's just such a pain to use correctly. I love using it with the rotary, however. A lot of the swirls still present, and some of those stupid polishing lines appear when the sun is right. Fortunatly, this is a regular customer so I'll be able to fix it all with the rotary soon. I went into this job thinking Acura paint was going to be like normal soft Honda paint, but it's very different. However, the blue flakes did come out great in the sun, owner didn't even know it had blue metallic flakes until he saw the completed job.

I haven't used #26 in a while, I forgot how terrific is looks on black paint!

Did you go straight from DACP to #26? I sometimes get minor micro marring with DACP that needs to be polished out with a lighter polish.

Went straight from DACP to $26. Couldn't tell if there was micromarring, because, well, there was still some major-marring! Next time, I'll just go straight for the rotary to get the swirls out, and get the micro marring out with the PC. Spent too much time messing around with several products on the PC when it is truly a job for the rotary.

Tuan209 - Yes it is, it works GREAT and is definetly worth the price. Only complaint is that the collapsable hose is pretty hard to keep extended because of the 5hp of vaccuum that wants to suck it back in. So with a different hose, this unit is GREAT.

Car looks amazing. I have that exact vehicle sitting in my garage for winter. I know how hard it is to remove all the swirls and scratches from the stubborn acura paint. You make me so anxious for winter to be over to get my baby detailed and back on the road. I would try something like menzerna pg or optimum compound followed by a finer polish to remove any haze left over. Beautifal car once again that finish is absolutely mirror like, i love when you really bring out the blue flake of the paint, just stunning. Good work.
